Purpose

Board meetings are a legal and regulatory requirement in every sector and sit at the heart of good corporate governance. Their effectiveness is vital to the governance of any organisation but all too often this is undermined by bad preparation and delivery. Badly organised work plans, poorly constructed agendas, badly structured and communicated board papers, overly lengthy and inefficient meetings and poor use of space and technology can all lessen the value of the meeting.

This practical and interactive course delivers the key knowledge and skills needed to deliver effective board and committee meetings. It sets out the context for different types of meeting before bringing to life the key elements of holding effective meetings.
