Minutes are a vital component of effective governance within organisations.  They provide a legal record of how decisions have been made and can also help shape the tone of strategic discussions and influence future decisions.  Minutes are often taken in highly pressurized Board and Board Committee meetings and must record decision-making processes on complex issues which can range from M&A to composition of the executive and Board, executive remuneration, audit and internal control issues, corporate transactions and regulator scrutiny amongst others.

This course is for those with experience of taking minutes who want to improve the quality and value of their minutes and to ensure they can be understood through a retrospective lens.  You will learn how to take high-quality, technical minutes in pressurized environments in which sensitivity, accuracy, speed and ethics all add to the complexity, the role technology could play in supporting your approach and how to work together with key stakeholders to support the minute taking process.
