About this event

Purpose

Effective governance requires a board and committee structure which is appropriate to the organisation, its goals and constitution. It is equally necessary that the board and committees include the right mix of directors and members and that those directors are given the support they need to perform their role. A poor committee structure and composition can lead to underperformance across the organisation.

This course will provide practical techniques you to identify the optimal board and committee structure for your organisation. It will equip you with the skills to identify the right board and committee members and to ensure your directors are supported so they can perform their role effectively.

This requirement holds true for every type of organisation, both profit and non-profit and in specialised areas such as health and government.
